August 2010

See - blurry but I am walking...

Lazy Sunday morning with Daddy watching Beethoven

Mmmm... I love Strawberries

At the Park with Daddy and Grumpy Grumpa

Well, August was an awesome month for me.... I AM WALKING!!! Woo hoo... I have opened a whole new world of trouble for Mummy, how do you like those apples?? I have now got my very first pair of walker shoes. As my feet are so 'ickle Mum & Dad had to take me to a special shop but apparently 'special' also means expensive - £38! For a pair of shoes smaller than Mummy's hand = Daddy's wallet in a sulk. Given the fact that the first thing I think about in the morning is shoes. and usually the first thing I say (with my eyes still half shut) is 'Shhoooees' - I'm not complaining about getting a beautiful new pair....

Daddy has had a few Fridays off work this month stealing me from disgruntled Grand-Mothers and I have had great fun. I think he should have more days off work... We make a right old mess of the house for Mummy to clear up when she gets in from work. Te he he...

I have MORE teeth coming through and my gummies are very sore, so I make sure that the parent types know about it. Whinging, moaning and crying - how else will I get my dose of Calpol - or better yet - Calprofen? Yum Yum. Oh, and I am well on my way to discovering the art of throwing a wobbler.... it is still to be mastered but I am enjoying the learning curve (Note to Self: must remember to check behind ones self before throwing head back in a very effective and dramatic style - concussion is not good).

I had my first night away from Mummy and Daddy since I came home from the hospital. The poor parents were distraught however I was not too fussy... as long as I have my blankie I am not bothered. Don't tell them that though. Thanks for having me Nana. Me and Gran also went and tried out this thing called Jo Jingles, I made music and played and danced - phew I was tired but happy when I went home. Looking forward to Mondays for more musical mayhem...

I must not forget I got to bath a BOY! Auntie Claire and crew came down from Portlethan and while they were here I helped give a very happy Fraser a bath (I think I am his fav cousin). I was throwing water on him (and Gran's carpet) to get him all washed up. It was so much fun, I showed him how to splash good too.... And I also tried to out smart Auntie Claire with some bath wash and was doing quite well until she ganged up on me with Gran - no fair ladies!!

Speak soon, big kisses and cuddles!! Jxx
PS: Beethoven is AMAZING!!!!
